小児の感情面や発達面での必要性について訓練を受けた医療専門家。チャイルドライフスペシャリストは小児とその家族が医療上の問題を理解するのを助け、心理的、感情的にサポートする。「child-life worker（チャイルドライフワーカー）」とも呼ばれる。
