うつ病、うつ状態、憂うつ、抑うつ

現在進行中の悲しみ、絶望感、活動エネルギーの喪失、通常の日常生活をまっとうできないなどが特徴の精神的な状態。うつ病のその他の症状は、無価値・絶望感、活動の喜びの喪失、食事や睡眠習慣の変化、死や自殺を考えるなどがある。うつ病はだれでもかかるが、上手く治療することができる。がん患者の15～25％がうつ病にかかる。

A mental condition marked by ongoing feelings of sadness, despair, loss of energy, and difficulty dealing with normal daily life. Other symptoms of depression include feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, loss of pleasure in activities, changes in eating or sleeping habits, and thoughts of death or suicide. Depression can affect anyone, and can be successfully treated. Depression affects 15-25% of cancer patients.
