APL。急性骨髄性白血病の侵攻性の（増殖の速い）タイプで、血液および骨髄中に未熟な造血細胞が過剰に存在する。 急性前骨髄球性白血病は通常、15番および17番染色体の一部が交換されていることが特徴である。「APL」、「promyelocytic leukemia（前骨髄球性白血病）」とも呼ばれる。
