過剰なX染色体が原因で男性に起こる遺伝性疾患。この障害を持つ男性は普通より乳房が大きく、ひげや体毛がなく、丸みのある体型で、精巣が小さい。他の子どもに比べかなり言葉が遅く、読み書きを習得するのが難しい。クラインフェルター症候群は、精巣腫瘍発生のリスクを増大させる。
