MEN1症候群。まれにみられる遺伝性疾患で、内分泌腺に影響を及ぼし、副甲状腺や下垂体の腫瘍、および膵臓の腫瘍の原因となりうる。これらの腫瘍（通常は良性）が原因で、各腺が高値のホルモンを分泌し、それによって腎臓結石、生殖能力の問題、重度の潰瘍など他の内科的問題を引き起こすことがある。一部の症例では、膵臓内の腫瘍ががん化する。「multiple endocrine adenomatosis（多発性内分泌腺腫症）」、「Wermer's syndrome（ウェルマー症候群）」とも呼ばれる。
