リード・スタンバーク巨細胞という細胞の存在を特徴とする免疫系のがん。リンパ節、脾臓、あるいはその他免疫組織の無痛性肥大などの症状がある。他の症状には、発熱、体重減少、疲労、寝汗などがある。「Hodgkin's disease（ホジキン病）」とも呼ばれる。
