【原文】ependymoma
脳腫瘍の一種で、脊髄中心管（中心部を下方に伸びる液体で満たされた空間）もしくは脳室（液体で満たされた脳内部の空間）を裏打ちしている細胞から発生するもの。上衣腫はまた脈絡叢（脳脊髄液を作り出している脳室内の組織）に発生することもある。「ependymal tumor（上衣腫瘍）」とも呼ばれる。
