白血球の一種。リンパ球は免疫系において、感染症を始めとする疾患に抵抗する抗体などの物質を生産するなど、数多くの役割を果たしている。
血液細胞。血液中には以下のような様々な種類の細胞が含まれている：白血球（単球、リンパ球、好中球、好酸球、好塩基球、マクロファージ）、赤血球、血小板。血液は動脈と静脈を介して全身を循環している。
