骨髄で血液細胞が作られなくなる、まれな遺伝性疾患。通常は、2歳から15歳までの小児において診断される。症状としては、頻繁な感染症、出血を起こしやすい、極度の疲れなどがみられる。ファンコニー貧血の患者では、小柄な体型になったり、皮膚に褐色の斑点ができたりする。さらに、特定の種類のがんの発生リスクが高くなる。
