受胎（精子と卵子の受精）後の子宮内にぶどう状の嚢胞ができる、妊娠可能年齢の女性にみられる状態。 奇胎妊娠は、絨毛がんあるいは妊娠性絨毛腫瘍と呼ばれるがんの一種へと変化することがある。「hydatidiform mole（胞状奇胎）」とも呼ばれる。
