EUS。内視鏡を体内に挿入して行う超音波検査法。内視鏡とは、観察用の光源とレンズを備えた細いチューブ状の装置である。内視鏡末端のプローブは、高エネルギーの音波（超音波）を内臓に反響させて画像（ソノグラム）を作り出すために使用される。「endosonography（内視鏡下超音波検査）」とも呼ばれる。
