食道鏡を用いる食道の検査。食道鏡とは、観察用の光源とレンズを備えた細いチューブ状の装置である。 組織を採取するための器具を備えているものもあり、採取された組織は疾患の徴候がないか顕微鏡で検査される。
食道鏡検査。光源の付いた細いチューブを口から食道内部へ挿入し、異常な部分がないか観察する。
