（1）がんの大きさが4cmを超えるが中咽頭の外部には拡がっていないもの、もしくは、（2）大きさには関係なく、頸部の同じ側にあるリンパ節1つのみに転移がみられ、その転移のみられるリンパ節の大きさが3cm以下に留まっているもの。
