がんは子宮から子宮頸部まで拡がっているが、子宮頸部の外側には拡がっていない。II期はがんが子宮頸部でどの程度拡がっているかによって、IIA期およびIIB期にわかれる。IIA期ではがんは子宮頸部と子宮が交わる腺まで拡がっている。IIB期では子宮頸部の結合組織まで拡がっている。
